Don’t Let A Little Dispute Injure a Great Friendship
This is number 5 of the Dalai Lama’s 18 Rules to Living. I think we can all probably relate to this in some way. Even if the friend wasn’t a “best” friend, we’ve probably allowed little disputes to get between us and a friend. Humans are silly beings to me. I often sit back and think about the stupid things that we allow to upset us or bother us when there are much bigger issues going on around us. I know I’ve lost one or two friends over frivolous disagreements. No one was really permanently injured, no one died, maybe a pride or two got hurt or someone was just in a bad mood and took the other person the wrong way, little things, it kills friendships. I can’t say it has happened a lot to me, but like I said, one or two times. If it is happening a lot, I’d assume it was something I was doing or maybe I’m just that much more brilliant than everyone around me!
